Berlin is a city with many tourist attractions which are visited daily by many locals and tourists. Berlin is not only a center for all tourist attractions is concentrated in Berlin but they are spread all over the city. A true historical center of Berlin could be on the east side of town.

  • Brandenburg Gate: is a monumental gate built in the 18th century as a symbol of peace.
  • Berlin Wall: It divides the city into two parts, east and west. It is a symbol of the Cold War. Built by the East German government to prevent the East Germans flee to West Germany, most of it was demolished since the border between East and West was opened in 1989.
  • Reichstag: German parliament building is one of the most important and historic sights of Berlin. The parliament building is near the Brandenburg Gate and before the unification of Germany was even approached to the Berlin Wall.
  • Alexanderplatz: Since the middle Ages, Alexanderplatz was the town centre and from the reunification of Germany, the market has become a main focal point and an important tourist attraction.
  • Museum Island: It was designed to be “a sanctuary of art and science. ” The five museums which are included in the Museum Island are located between Kupfergraben and river Spree.
  • Checkpoint Charlie: (C checkpoint), one of the last symbols of the Cold War, is the place which summarize the best separation between east and west
  • Kaiser-Wilhelm Memorial Church: It is one of the most prominent sights in Berlin. The damaged tower is a symbol of Berlin’s power to recover after war and a constant reminder of the destruction caused by this war.
  • Berlin Cathedral: Berliner Dom is a baroque cathedral built between 1894 and 1905. It is located on an island on the river Spree, known as Museum Island.
  • Berlin Holocaust Memorial: In May 2005, the 60th anniversary of the overthrow of the Nazi regime and the end of World War II, the city opened the Berlin Holocaust Memorial, a monument designed to commemorate the six million killed by Hitler and the forces Hebrew Nazi.
  • Berliner Fernsehturm: is a TV tower that rises to an elevation of 360 meters from its base located in the southern part futuristic to Alexanderplatz. Tower is the tallest structure in town and can be easily seen from any part of the city.


Not just the amazing sights, new architecture and majestic palaces make up the impressive sights Berlin – but the city’s history, which could not be more dramatic than that. People come to Berlin mainly for the fascination on reviving the city, so long as a pariah because of the infamous wall that divided or two after the Second World War, in its dark.
